I am a memoirist. I write about food, twinship, intercultural and interracial relationships, education, motherhood, and other themes. From time to time, I dabble in poetry and journalism as well. I studied creative nonfiction in the University of Southern California's Master of Professional Writing program. My writing has appeared in TASTE, The Counter, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Harvard Review Online, Entropy, Artillery, Hippocampus Books and The Journal of Compressed Creative Arts. I currently teach writing at Otis College of Art & Design and lead an online food memoir writing workshop for the Creative Nonfiction Foundation.
